Intruzywne środki kontroli pracowników w kontekście ochrony ich prywatności

The aim of the present study is the analysis of intrusive means of control of employees regarding two aspects: legal and managerial. Development of modern technologies has changed contemporary work environment and currently there are tools thanks to which an organization may all but entirely control employees. Control, of which subject is human resources, undoubtedly conditions legitimate functioning of an organization. Within conducted research project the author was interested in defining determinants of effective control, i.e. one that provides reliable information in regard to make necessary changes, and therefore, developing an operational definition of this phenomenon, which will be application in nature for managerial staff. The right of employees to privacy is not absolute in nature, therefore, it can be subject to certain limitations. It needs to be contrasted with company’s interest, by which the right to control employed persons is understood. The author attempts to determine acceptable, in the light of legislation in force, scopes of interference of an employer in the area of privacy of an employee.
