Cele Zrównoważonego Rozwoju a polski sektor naftowy:

The Ph.D. dissertation presents and analyses the directions of the development of the Polish oil industry in relation to the sustainable development policy within a dynamically changing environment. The thesis consists of four chapters whose aim is to describe and analyse: the historical conditions that shaped the development of the global oil industry and its economic importance; the origins of the sustainable development concept and its impact on this sector; as well as an overview of trends such as the increasing importance of hydrocarbons from non-conventional sources, low - emission fuels and the petrochemical industry. The dissertation also discusses a research project which produced development scenarios of the oil industry’s environment until 2050. The final part of the thesis comprises a set of recommendations related to the strategic goals for Polish refineries within the context of the ongoing market transformations as well as Poland’s participation in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
