The dissertation which is being presented discusses the phenomenon of occupational burnout among sales managers, the study of which focuses on its organizational implications. Seven research hypotheses have been formulated, three of which are presented as positive and four as negative. The dissertation is composed of five chapters, in which the following have been discussed: the phenomenon of occupational burnout itself (Chapter I), the impact of stress on occupational burnout (Chapter II) and the impact of occupational burnout on a specific professional group, namely on sales managers (Chapter III). This subject matter is relatively rarely discussed in scientific literature and rarely studied empirically. Chapter IV describes the methodology of the study and presents a critical analysis of the tools which measure the phenomenon of occupational burnout, at the same time indicating the unique properties of the OLBI tool. Chapter V provides a comprehensive presentation of the results of the studies and an analysis of their results. The dissertation culminates with a set of carefully considered conclusions and practical managerial recommendations which build on twenty years of professional experience in the field of sales.
