The JetBlue Airways Columbus Office also suggests looking for ideas about planning leisure travels and comparing flight departures. Planning travel dates early in the year provides additional time to investigate fares, flight routes and popular departure schedules. If traveling on a weekend, travelers should think about the transportation to and from the airport and whether the time of arrival allows enough time to get to a lodging destination. Travelers may have less options of flights and lodging accommodations during popular holiday seasons and long weekends so planning ahead is beneficial. Travelers should know the specifics of insurance and or cancellation rules in the event of inclement weather or personal reasons for cancellation. Having a pack list and keeping luggage to a limited amount is wise for a weekend trip.
